Take a Trip to Neverland.

A journey through a fantasy land in one little curiosity box. We join the scene looking out of a window overlooking London with a ship silhouette on the moon and a curious star second to the right. A little brass clock face makes Big Ben instantly noticeable. Following the star we find inside a second artwork, our heroes flying through the night sky and eventually finish with a view of the wonders of Neverland. With just enough room behind to hide away a lucky sixpence, photo, or little note.
The culmination of over a weeks work, several days more designing, months of planning and many prototypes. Due to the size of this piece it is only possible to make from sheet material (sterling silver) and using traditional hand tools. The first job with a piece like this is to texture the silver with old coin like shillings, sixpences and florins. This texture gives the locket a really interesting, one of a kind look. After making the locket (a job in itself), I’ve added three hand engraved artworks and my OAK leaf signature to the back. The locket comes on your choice of black cotton cord or silver chain (charged at cost). However, thanks to the hinged rings at the top of the box, this piece is equally nice as a little curiosity box without a chain or cord.
