Moon Gazing Together (Shilling Bead)

George Hare and his friend Victoria are sitting in the trees enjoying glimpses of the moon through the clouds. Its good to have someone like minded to go moon gazing with George thinks to himself unaware Victoria was thinking the very same thing.
*This little 3d scene is just 25mm across and handmade using traditional hand tools.

The coins used in this piece are three sterling silver shillings (pre-1920). The top and middle layers have been flattened out and then cut and engraved with traditional hand tools. The reverse of the piece is a complete shilling with little stars cut into it. With the reverse being unflattened it still has all the coin detail and all that lovely history on show. The piece comes on an 18inch silver (.925) chain.
